Due
to the high demand and relatively small number of birds available
we have had to institute a 4-6 month waiting list. Being an
avid avian collector I know how long 6 months can seem but I also know
that
I would prefer birds that are completely molted out and are well
equipped
to deal with the rigors involved in shipping. All of our clients will
testify
that the wait is more than worth it.
We require a retainer of 30% of your final bird invoice.
We have instituted this practice for two reasons. First, it guarantees
that a person's place in the queue never changes and secondly it
ensures that
the birds you ordered are reserved for you. We, unlike most breeders,
believe that your satisfaction is paramount and if you find birds
elsewhere and
decide you no longer require the birds you have ordered, we will refund
your entire fee with no questions asked, provided you contact us a
month
prior to shipping to cancel your order.
We realize concern about sending moneys
to a complete
stranger without any guarantee that you will receive the birds. We
cannot alleviate that fear, other than through our reputation,
but we
can tell you that all depositors receive two invoices detailing all of
the costs involved in their order. One instantly via email and another
via snail mail. These documents are legal and binding and we uphold our
dedication and commitment in writing.
In
the past we have had people call and inquire about bird availability
and possible shipping dates without making a reservation. Then, on the
specified date, they have contacted us and expected us to ship the
birds. Unfortunately, we do have an extensive waiting list and birds
are rarely available on demand. We recommend that you book before
February as that is when the first clutches of the season are usually
sold out (these are usually shipped in May). Subsequent batches of
chicks are due every two months after the first shipping date
until the end of the breeding season. Orders are processed until
October
(as we do not ship in the winter).
